Massive Span of Lenses

ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T 24-200 mm F2.8-4.5 zoom lens can cover a broad span of zoom ranges which are equivalent to 2 standard zoom lenses in a surprisingly compact configuration. 

High Optics Resolution

The elements of the lens include four advanced aspherical lenses plus two extra-low dispersion glass elements. These work hand in hand in order to achieve great resolution to the image periphery and throughout its telephoto range. 

Ultra Fast Image Sensor

The 1.0-type stacked CMOS image sensor plus the latest BIONZ X image-processing engine allows greater dimensions for image quality and speed. 

Fast, Continuous Shooting and Super Accurate AF/AE Tracking 

The latest image sensor provides fast and continuous shooting up to 20fps and the camera is capable of tracking subjects with its AF/AE calculations going up to 60 times per second- regardless if the subject is moving at high speed.

No Lags, No Black-out Shootings

Users can look forward to a smooth and black-out free shooting, thanks to the camera's LCD display. It tracks your subject's movements uninterrupted with updates going at 60fps to put time lag at a minimum. 

Single Burst Shooting Capability

This brand new function enables users to capture very fast-moving action, like the precise instant a basketball reaches the basket, taking seven shots rapidly. You can select the speeds of 90fps, 60fps or 30fps. This allows photographers to shoot moments which are otherwise extremely difficult to capture. A self-timer may be used and both RAW and JPEG image formats are supported.

Fast AF Speed and Coverage

The all new RX100 also features a top of the line total of 357 focal-plane phase-detection AF points. This covers 68% of the frame in total. They are complemented by the 425 contrast-detection AF points, and its AF acquisition can be achieved in merely 0.02 seconds. This is by far, the world's fastest speed. 

Steady Focus on Moving Objects

The camera's Real-time Tracking has subject-recognition algorithms that draw on pattern (brightness), color, subject distance (depth) and face/eye info to track your subjects whenever they move. This provides a constant and steady focus on moving subjects, thus helping users capture critical moments of action as it happens, both for movies or stills.
